Writer: Stewart ShellineStewart Shelline

Updated: Sep 22, 2024

This month we have the opportunity to learn about Norwegian Folk Dancing taught by our own Tom Oesleby and Gwen Trefts who are two of the best folk dancers in or out of Norway.  They have participated in Norwegian Folk Dance events all over the US and in Norway and are happy to share with us a sampling of what they know and have experienced. We will also listen to some great “toe tapping” folk recordings and enjoy a live performance with the Hardanger fiddle. We my even learn a few dance steps and moves so wear your dance shoes.

We will meet on Thursday the 18th of January at 7:00pm at the Garbett Center (a great old building) 700 North 200 West , SLC, 84103.

Food items to share are welcome and please invite family and friends.
